Metal Madness
A metal band is recording today and that's ay-okay with me. There is a funny delay you get when listening through a wall so the drums and guitar are off. But let me tell you, there is some serious metal going on and I like it!
Drum tuning
Ain't drum tuning grand? I have always had a thing for the drums.. or maybe it's the drummers? Either way I love the drums. A band is drum tuning right now. I hear the drums over hear more than any of the other instruments. They are tuning the snare drum now which to an untrained ear like mine is just a person mechanically hitting the snare over and over and over. You musicians are a dedicated bunch!

Welcome
I share a wall with The Station House. A great recording studio in Echo Park run by my boyfriend Mark Rains. Lots of great albums were recorded here, including the latest Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Beat The Devil's Tattoo. This is not stories from within the studio but what it's like to be on the other side of the wall where only certain things bleed through. This will not be a gossip column either. Just quips about what I hear ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE WALL!!!
